Revenge of the Slick (and Zippy)

Tuesday, May 31st, 2005

That’s right, since I’m back home and the lawn needs to be mowed… I mowed with the slick and zippy lawn mower we got last summer. It was fun to be on the mower again.

On a Star Wars note: I’m sick of people bashing Star Wars. Yes, it doesn’t have the world’s greatest acting but it is a decent story. It just seems to be the cool thing to do — make fun of Star War. Ok, enough ranting…

Home for a Week

Sunday, May 29th, 2005

After a week in Muncie at my new apartment I’m home for awhile. It was quite and relaxing at the apartment. I unpacked most of my things and helped setup the apartment. Now I’m back home. It’s tough going from 512KB/Sec cable internet to 2.5KB/Sec dial-up. I guess I’ll servive.h

Not the K K K

Tuesday, May 17th, 2005

So, on the way to Hartford City there is a sign, one of those ‘this group cleaned up the road’ signs that states that the road was adpoted by Kappa Kappa Kappa. This seemed pretty susicious since this area of Indiana has been know for racism and Kappa is the greek letter K — meaning Kappa Kappa Kappa would be K K K. I’ve always wondered about this — does thes K K K really do community service projects? maybe they are trying to be a new friendly, caring group of white supremicists. Anyway, I finally remembered to do a google search for kappa kappa kappa to see what comes up. Low and behold, it is a group that is not the K K K. In fact they have a website: trikappa.org. According to their website they are a philanthropic organization that has its bounds in Indiana.

A Lease

Monday, May 16th, 2005

(Sorry Alisse, I couldn’ t resist the pun. :) )

That’s right, Steve and I signed the lease on our apartment on Saturday. It’s in pretty good condidtion. The only downside is it has alittle bit of a smokey smell. We are hoping with some candles Fabreeze and air freshners it will go away. I started moving some of my stuff in, but it’s still really bare. Here are some photos I took of the apartment:

Last

Friday, May 13th, 2005

Yesterday was my last Echo.
Today was my last day of college classes.
Tomorrow I sign the lease on the apartment and start moving in.
Next Wednesday, I’m going to go see the midnight showing of Star Wars III. I’m excited. I should be great fun!
Now, all I have left at school are two exams, graduation rehersal and then gradutation.
Oh, and I got my car back today. It sounds much, much better. I don’t have to turn the radio way up on the expressway now!
There were 4 or 5 bearings that were replaced in the transmission.
