Sunday Afternoon

Sunday, August 21st, 2005

I had a nice Sunday. I visited The Jar for church this morning. I’m still looking for a church in Muncie. Its been hard this summer, looking for a church, being gone most weekends. Joel and Isaac play in the worhship band. Afterwards they invided me over for lunch. Beth and Josh come over too, and they brought their cute little baby Olivia with them too. It was nice to hang out with Taylor people.

In other news, Alisse comes back to school on Wednesday. It will be nice being 20 miles away, instead of 220 miles away. Well, I need to head to bed. I have work tomorrow at 8.

Wicked Cool

Thursday, August 18th, 2005

I had a great weekend. I went up to Chicago to visit Alisse. On Saturday, we took the train to downtown Chicago and went to see Wicked. It is a musical about the back story to Wizard of Oz. It was really good. What can I say about it? How about “Toss, Tosss!” Anyway, after the show we went to a nice Itian resturant for dinner. Also very good. The we walked around downtown Chicago and stoped for coffee along the way. It was good time. I also got to meet several of Alisse’s friends from home. That went well, and I enjoyed meeting them. In less then a week, Alisse will be back at school. Wow, the summer has gone by quickly!

Internet Silence Explained

Saturday, August 6th, 2005

Why have I been posting so infrequently? why am I never on AIM? why you ask? Well, it boils down to, I’m lazy… err tired. That’s right :) Well, I have been traveling for the past several weekends, so that limits the time that I’m at my computer. The other reason/excuse is that after working 8 hours a day on the computer, I’m a little tired of doing things on the computer. I know, it’s kinda lame, but that’s my excuse. Now that summer is winding down and I will be home more weekends, I think I’ll be posting more.

New Radio Dial Home

Saturday, August 6th, 2005

I’ve found that I really enjoy listening to the local NPR station while driving to and from work. They have really interesting stories that would never show up ‘normal’ radio stations along with all of the current news. I really like the non-rushed, clean style of the broadcast too. I know that sometimes NPR is critized for being too ‘left’ but I find that it isn’t as biased as people tend to think it is and when I notice things that I disagree with more then if I were listening to a ‘right’ station.

No more rattles

Saturday, August 6th, 2005

Last weekend on the way to camp, my exhust pipe on my car sprung a leak. Worried that it would fall off while driving back to Muncie and that I would be stranded somewhere in northen Indiana, I decided to get it fixed. The place was alittle far from camp, but they where able to fix it in the short amount of time I had. Now, I have no more rattling or extra exhust noise! The civic is quite quiet now :)
