Thanksgiving

Monday, November 28th, 2005

I had a good Thanksgiving break. I took Wednesday off of work and Alisse and I headed up to Michigan. It took over 7 hours to get home because of all the snow and icky weather. Thursday, we were off to Saginaw to meet up with the family. It was a good time. I ate a lot. Friday, Alisse and I went to the Texas Roadhouse with Darrel and his girlfriend. It was good to catch up with Darrel again. Then, Alisse and I meet up with the rest of my family to see ‘Walk the Line’ the new Johnny Cash movie. It was really good. Johnny Cash is about the only country singer I like (except for the Blue Grass genre). Saturday we headed up to Frankinmuth. It was crowded and overwhelming, but I got some good deals at the Gap Outlet. Overall, it was a good break. Now, back to work…

It finally happened, the sad, sad day of the cancellation of Arrested Development. The third season has been cut short and the show cancelled. Oh! What do I have to live for now? :(

Don’t Cry over spelt Cow

Thursday, November 10th, 2005

So, you live out in the country and it’s late at night and there’s nothing to do? Sounds like a perfect opportunity to go cow tipping. Well, I have bad news: It’s not likely that you can tip that poor Holstein over.

Where did all the cows go?

Saturday, November 5th, 2005

The cows at Wissman Homestead farms have been disappering. Where did they go? Off to market. That’s right. My dad and uncle have decided to sell off the dariy cows. They aren’t selling all of the cows, just the milking cows. They are keeping the heafers and selling them when they get ready to milk. Eventually, the milking holstins will be replaced with beef cows. The beef cows will be much easier to take care of. So long cows!
