Super Bowl: Colts vs. Bears

Sunday, January 21st, 2007

Both the Colts and the Bears won today!  Now I’m not sure who to cheer for in the Super Bowl.  The Colts — beloved team of the state where I live and many of my fellow coworkers. The Bears — favorite team of Alisse’s family and the rest of Chicago.  Humm… can the be a tie in the Super Bowl?  I the mean time, maybe the Lions can gear up for next year :)

Gone to Ireland

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

Yesterday, I went with Alisse’s parents to the airport to send Alisse off to Ireland.  It was sad to think that we won’t see each other for about 2 months but I’m remaining positive — we will still be able to email and talk on the phone (some, but not nearly as much as usual) and of course snail mail. It’ll also be a great opportunities for Alisse to learn about and experience a different part of the world.
Last night we got a call at 4a.m. from Alisse.  They made it to Graystones safely!

The group has a blog: http://isp2007.blogspot.com/ if you’d like to keep track of their happenings in Ireland.

Booked!

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

I just finished booking a flight to Ireland to visit Alisse.  I’m leaving the last week in March and coming back the first week in April.  I’m excited!  Alisse leaves for Ireland on Friday. I’m headed up to Chicago Thursday night, so I can see her off with her parents.

Two Years

Thursday, January 4th, 2007

Today marks the the two year anniversary of when Alisse and I started dating.  Wow! time has really flown by (it’s been a good two years :) ).

In other relationship news, apparently my sister, Amanda, now has a boyfriend.  Thanks Facebook for keeping me up to speed! On Saturday, Alisse and I are meeting Amanda and the new boyfriend in Ft. Wayne for dinner at The Flattop Grill.
