Memorial Day Weekend
Wednesday, May 30th, 2007I went to visit Alisse in Chicago this weekend. It was good weekend of eating, sleeping and looking at places for our wedding reception (no we don’t have a date set yet). We liked and disliked different things about each one. We still have some more to look at before we decide.
On the way to Chicago I stopped at Chic-Fil-A in Lafayette. I saw a guy with a Gentoo Linux shirt on. I wanted to say “Gentoo is for slackers!” but didn’t*.
Not much else is going on.
*This is a joke and funny because Gentoo is very difficult to install and usually only used by super-uber-geeks. After one attempt to install, I won’t touch it. Now the joke is explained and not funny. Also, there is another Linux distribution called Slackware, which also isn’t for slackers.
