Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

The geese are still perching up on the roof. Alisse took some photos for me:

Also, the goose was guarding the mail one day but he flew away when I got close.

Did you feel that?

This morning was wakened by an earth quake! In Indiana! Being from the upper mid-west, earth quakes aren’t something we worry about, so I was definitely nervous. It wasn’t very big, just rattled the building a little. There’s more about the quake here. Well, off to work…

Goose on the Roof

Yesterday, when Alisse and I were outside by her car. She heard geese and was starting looking to see where they were. I turned toward the direction of the noise and there, on top of the building across the street were to geese! The building was probably 20-25 feet tall. Alisse and I turned and looked at each other and burst into laughter. I wish I had a camera, it was really funny.

I don’t think I had ever seen geese perch on a building that high. Yes, they were ‘Canadian’ geese (to some and ‘Canada’ geese to others.)

We didn’t get to Obama this weekend. It was a little disappointing after waiting in line for so long. But we did go to Bed Bath and Beyond and registered for a bunch of stuff.

The Audasity of Hope, for Tickets

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Obama had to reschedule his trip to Munice. He’ll be here this Saturday. His campaign started handing out tickets for the event today at 5:00PM. So, I left work a little early and went and got in line. The line was really long! After two hours in line, they ran out of tickets. There were maybe 100 people in front of me. I was pretty disappointed. Campaign workers did take the names of the rest of the people in line to go on a waiting list. I should know tomorrow if I will get tickets. I really hope I do.

The Star Press covered the wait for the tickets.

Obama is coming to Muncie

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

Yep, that’s right! Obama is coming to Muncie. I would really like to go, but they haven’t announced when/where yet. It’ll probably be during work, so I don’t know if will be able to go.
